Krav Maga is the official self-defense system of the Israeli Defense Force and is used by many other elite combat units and law enforcement around the world. In the 1970s, Krav Maga was adapted for civilian use. It is a martial art that anyone can use, regardless of size, strength and fitness, and is the ideal art for use on the street, a place where no rules exsist. Krav Maga emphasizes simple and practical techniques, real life scenarios and intense training. Practitioners learn to defend themselves against multiple attackers, sticks, knives and guns. Proper training requires physical and mental concentration and commitment.

Rhon Mizrachi's Krav Maga Federation schools produce the highest caliber instructors who adhere to the most stringent standards of teaching and training. In a time when unqualified practitioners dilute the style for financial gain and recognition, this is crucial. The instructors of the Krav Maga Federation share a commitment to the true art of Krav Maga: to properly educate fighters and to respect what the art represents to the State of Israel and its people. KMF remains true to the principles of Krav Maga founder Imi Lichtenfeld, which include following a belted system whereby new material and new techniques separate ranks from White through Black Belt.

Master Instructor Rhon Mizrachi, Dan 5, has dedicated his life to the art of Krav Maga. He has been training for almost 40 years, resulting in his having trained with Grandmaster Haim Zut longer than any other student. He has spent almost 25 years teaching Krav Maga, and is the highest ranking Krav Maga instructor residing outside of Israel who is not self-ranked. Rhon has received each of his belts from his teacher, Grandmaster Zut.

Piotr Tuznik, Dan 1, emigrated from Poland at the age of 13. Once here, he began training in Krav Maga under Master Instructor Rhon Mizrachi, Dan 5, and Katrina Reynolds, Dan 2. Peter's superior physical talents allowed him to excel at Krav Maga, and the fighting style appealed to him. As he continued his training, Peter's commitment to both his teachers and the Art of Krav Maga grew. Because of his values and beliefs( that we have the right to aggressively defend ourselves, and with that ability comes the responsibility of protecting our family and community), Rhon's commitment to his student also deepened. Peter completed an Instructor course taught by Rhon, and began his training as a Krav Maga Instructor. This path ultimately led Pete to Israel during the 2008 KMF trip. During the training in Israel, Peter, like many students of Rhon's, demonstrated in front of the Professional Committee the high level of proficiency and skill that he possesses in Krav Maga. His knowledge of the details in Krav Maga material of all levels and his ability to demonstrate this knowledge quickly and aggressively allowed him to successfully complete the grueling Black Belt test (Partnered with Ed Maisonet, Krav Maga Staten Island). This exam was presided over by Grandmaster Haim Zut,Dan 10, Head of the Professional Committee Uri Refaeli, Dan 8, Meni Mehabad, Dan 3, and in front of his teacher Rhon Mizrachi, Dan 5. In the United States, the Federation has three partners: Rhon Mizrachi, Grandmaster Zut's representative, Dror Bikel, President of the Federation, and Eve Gold, Managing Partner. The schools that make up the Federation are strongly tied to each other. Instructors and students have bonded to Rhon, their teachers and each other by the years spent training. These relationships are the reason that the KMF functions as a family, and will ensure the protection of the art in the future.

The Federation is not a franchise and does not participate in any licensing agreements. It does not offer Instructor Certification Courses to non-Federation students or accept "donations" in exchange for rank. A full instructor degree requires a black belt ranking from the Federation and the completion of a KMF Instructor Course.
