The Krav Maga Federation teaches Kids Krav Maga at its flagship school in Manhattan (164 West 25th street). These classes are designed for children ages five through twelve and cover all of the same practical self-defense techniques as adult Krav Maga classes but at a more kid-friendly pace.
The unfortunate reality is that bullying is becoming more and more physically threatening as well as being emotionally damaging. We believe that it is extremely important for children to be able to defend themselves in these situations, which are starting at younger and younger ages.
Like other martial arts, Krav Maga will improve your child's motor skills, flexibility and balance. As students focus and commit themselves to mastering techniques and progressing through the belt ranks, they also gain a high level of discipline, respect for self and others and self-confidence.
But Krav Maga is unique. It is the art of practical self-defense; everything your child learns is something that can be readily applied if he or she were to encounter a dangerous situation. We also encourage awareness of one's environment, and importantly, recognition of when and how to disengage from a conflict without combat.

Our Federation is especially unique in its strong sense of camaraderie and community. We encourage all of our Krav Maga students, regardless of age, to achieve his or her full potential.
Rhon Mizrachi, head of the Krav Maga Federation, began his training at the age of 7 under the founder of Krav Maga Imi Lichtenfeld. He believes in the importance of children learning self defense, the healthy physical growth and development of children, as well as providing for kids an environment where ethical behavior is re-enforced.
Master Instructor Rhon Mizrachi, Dan 5, has dedicated his life to the art of Krav Maga. He began his training at age 7 under founder of the Art, Imi Lichtenfeld and has been training for 40 years. He has spent almost 25 years teaching Krav Maga, and is the highest ranking Krav Maga instructor residing outside of Israel who is not self-ranked. Rhon received each of his belts from his teachers, Imi Lichtenfeld and Haim Zut.

Cory Bragar has had a lifelong commitment to both martial arts and teaching. She began studying Taekwondo at age 7. Bolstered by the confidence her martial arts study gave her, Cory opened her own Taekwondo school while she was still in high school. After high school, Cory went to Trinity College, where she continued teaching children, this time in a variety of academic subjects. After college, Cory took a brief detour from teaching, attending Harvard Law School and practicing law for four years. However, she did not abandon her martial arts training. Cory began her study of Krav Maga in 1997, under Master Instructor Rhon Mizrachi head of the Krav Maga Federation. In 2003, Cory received her instructor certification from Grandmaster Haim Zut. In 2006, Cory came to her senses and left the law to pursue teaching full time. Since then, Cory has dedicated herself to teaching children and young adults in a variety of fields (everything from Krav Maga to magic to SAT preparation). Cory taught Krav Maga at the Rodeph Shalom school and is now the coordinator of the Krav Maga children's program. Cory is also the Director of Standardized Testing at Ivy Link, an educational services company providing tutoring and admissions counseling services.
